AAPI Intercultural Learning Center
高爆率龙虎斗’s AAPI Intercultural Learning Center is open to all 高爆率龙虎斗 students, faculty, staff, and members of the community. The AAPI Center provides support for anyone who wishes to learn more about Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) cultures and communities. The AAPI Center, is funded by a Title II Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI) grant provided by the U.S. Department of Education.
Our Services
- We run AAPI Connect, a peer mentor/mentee program for AAPI students that pairs 2nd year AAPI 高爆率龙虎斗 students with incoming AAPI 1st year students to help them navigate 高爆率龙虎斗 services and engage with the broader AAPI community. Students who participate in AAPI Connect are also eligible to receive SDV 100 credit for proper completion of the program. The program is open to all students.
- We create and promote educational events with AAPI community partners about AAPI-focused identity, AAPI history, and AAPI mental health. The events are open to all students, faculty, staff, and members of the community.
- We host networking and resume/interview events.
- We serve as a learning center for faculty and the community on AAPI communities, culture, and art.
- We provide work-study opportunities for all students.
- We provide two work-study opportunities for students at the AAPI Center.
- We offer a cozy and welcoming study space for all students.
- We assist with AAPI scholarships and internships with local AAPI community partners.
- We display and promote AAPI art by local artists, 高爆率龙虎斗 students, and faculty/staff.
